What was the highlight of Jan Luyken Amsterdam
Very good hotel in a good location. Hope to stay again.
I know Amsterdam well and this is a good location to access areas I like, e.g. De Pijp. As a solo traveller I find the slow service in restaurants frustrating and I often eat in the room, so having a fridge in the room was a real convenience. The free beer and pastries etc. is also a nice touch, although I didn't use it much.
I would have preferred a walk-in shower rather than it being over the bath. Also the TV did not access the BBC channels.

Jan Luyken Hotel exceeded my expectations, again. This was my second stay at the hotel, the last being in August 2024. It’s definitely the kind of place you want to return to — both for the comfort it offers and the way it makes you feel like a part of Amsterdam, not just a visitor.

Really lovely hotel.
Location was fantastic.. in a quiet street but very close to the museums . All food and drink is complementary during your stay here. Excellent value . Comfortable, clean and friendly staff too.
The shower over the bath perhaps, but not a huge problem
